He is survived by: his wife Janice Townsend of Columbia, MS; his daughter Debra Townsend of Columbia, MS; and his brothers, Billy Wayne McKenzie (Phyllis) of Purvis, MS, Jimmy Townsend of Columbia, MS and Ricky Townsend (Darnell) of Columbia, MS. He is also survived by Nephews, Nieces.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the West Black Creek Missionary Baptist Church (149 W Black Creek Rd, Sumrall, MS 39482).
