It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Pate McJenkin of Columbus, Mississippi, who passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Emmett McJenkin, Sr.; her son William E. "Billy" McJenkin, Jr.; her siblings, Ruth, Ruby, Mattie Lou, Doris and Clifford; and her parents, Thomas Jefferson Pate and Irene Maughn Pate.
She is survived by: her son Larry McJenkin (Charlotte) of Columbus, MS; her sisters, Lois Banks of Gordo and Roberta Moses of Columbus, MS; her granddaughters, Tina Moore (Keith) and Charlene Taylor (Andy); and her great grandchildren, Drake Moore, Ethan Moore, Matthew Moore, Ashlyn Taylor and Emily Taylor.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Skelton Funeral Home Chapel (2105 2nd St SW, Reform, AL 35481).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
