It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bertha Beatrice Covert of Columbus, Mississippi, born in Lauderdale, Mississippi, who passed away on June 12, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Allen and Lydia Barrett Allen; her husband Louis Covert; and her siblings, Marie Hamilton, Nell Huff and Melvin Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Knight, Cheryl Williams (Hamp), Cindy Morgan (Squirrel), Libby Walker (Rick), Louis Covert (Teecie), John Covert (Nancy) and Mike Covert; and her sister-in-law Virgina Buchanon. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren.
