David left this world on October 13, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Baucom and Myrtle Walden Baucom; and his siblings, Wanda Andrews, Catherine Phillips, Martha Cole, Ellis Baucom, Pete Baucom and Paul Michael Baucom (Shirley) of Gordo, AL.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Baucom of Columbus, MS; his children, David Searcy Baucom, Jr. (Ashley) of Columbus, MS, Lisa Killpack (Russell) of Millport, AL, Angela Boyd (Dane) of Columbus, MS and Janet Anderson (Chuck) of Columbus, MS; his brothers, Tony Baucom (Patricia) of Columbus, MS, Kermit Baucom, Jr. (Judy) of Columbus, MS and Leslie Baucom (Margaret) of Steens, MS; and his grandchildren, James, Hannah, Kasey, Ashley, Christopher, Gracie, Emily Beth, Haley, Matthew, Myron and Jace. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Murrah's Chapel Baptist Church (9297 MS-69, Columbus, MS 39702). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
