He is survived by: his wife Tippie Barry; his children, Eddie Barry, Jr. (Clarissa) of Cypress and Cynthia Barry Hunter (Janfrey) of Shiloh, Ill.; his sisters, Mattie Barry Sparks (Robert) of Sandusky, Ohio and Martha Barry Whitfield (James) of Columbus; his granddaughter Lashondra Jones; his great grandchildren, Markevious Curenton and Jayda Jackson; his cousin Rev. John Glass (Nicole); and his siblings-in-law, Linda Franklin (James), Brenda Hamilton Lisa Weaver (Arthur), Marshelle Lampley, Darlene Poole (Elliott), Penny Randle (Greg), Rosland Lewis, John Cornwell, Willie Mac Johnson (Shirleen), Frank Johnson Leonard (Henrietta) and Lorenzo Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
