We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2022, at the age of 83, Emmitt Stewart Jr. of Columbus, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Adline Bell and Emmitt Stewart, Sr.; his wife Winetta Windham Stewart; his daughter Jaqueline Minor; and his siblings, Walter Walls, Leo Dell Walls, Susie Lee Reed, Willie Mae Reed, Ollie Mae Murphy and Addie Bee Reed.

He is survived by: his daughters, Emily Colbert, Constance Moore (Donald) and Joanne Brand; his grandchildren, Ebony Simon (Will), Shaquille Greer, Elexus Colbert, Morgan Colbert, Robert Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, Brandon Brand and Candace Brand; his great grandchildren, Bradley, Eyan, Aaliyah and Meloni; his siblings, Larry Stewart (Ethel), Dorothy Mae Walls, Willie Bee Luster (Philip), Ozzie Mae Thompson (Stanley) and Mary Ann Reed; and his close friend Christine Chandler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
