She was predeceased by: her parents, Riley Brazil and Daisy Sprinkle Brazil; her former husband Howard; her husband David Rushing; her children, Cynthia Pickens and Ted Allen Howard; her grandson Donald Pickens; and her siblings, J. D. Brazil, Nannie B. Dozier, Joyce Ferguson, Maxine Barton and Loutine Thomas.
She is survived by: her son Terry Wayne Howard; her brother Ted Brazil; and her grandchildren, Jason Howard, Melissa Bond, Shanna Woodson, Christy Howard and Jessica Howard. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
