He is survived by: his wife Brenda Shields of Columbus, MS; his children, Christina Fowler (Carl) of Houston, TX, Jeremy Eugene Shields of Cape Coral, FL and Sean Patrick Eugene Shields of Columbus, MS; his grandchildren, Carson Fowler, Cara Fowler, Carys Fowler, Jemma Shields and Jade Shields; his siblings, William Shields, Lillian Evans (Charles), Mattie Shields, Kathy Morris (Loronzo), Vonda K. Shields and Lillie Skipwith; his sister-in-law Lanell Shields; and his niece Sonya Haynes.
