She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Hood and Ninna Mae Moore Hood; her husband James E. Oswalt; her son Chris Ervin Oswalt; her siblings, J. D. Hood, Copal Hood and Oretta Bigham; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Oswalt (Joan), Billy Oswalt and Willie Ray Oswalt.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Oswalt (Doylene) of Columbus, MS and Gayla Butler (Thurston) of Columbus, MS; her grandchildren, Summer Walker (Alan), Jamie Bishop (Josh) and Lauren Moorman (Cole); her great grandchildren, Claire Walker, Charlie Walker, Laina Bishop, Joshua Bishop, Carter Bishop and Lettie Bishop; and her siblings-in-law, Terry Oswalt (Mona) of Harrison, AR, Linda Fultz of Brandon, MS and Lawanda Oswalt of Lake City, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
