She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Fivecoat and Clara Mae Shaffner Fivecoat; her husband Walter Bryant Benton, Jr.; and her brother Ernest "Ernie" Fivecoat, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Keith Benton (Cindy), Ellen James (Reese), Karen Thornton (Mitchell) and Lynne Carney (Mike); her grandchildren, Bryan (Becca), Justin (Carley), Melissa, Michael (Jana), Kyndal (Justin) of Sean, T. J., Matthew (Grace) and Katie; and her great grandchildren, Martin, Olivia, Beckett, Tatum, Dani, Bowen, Emma, Patrick, Mary Alice, Betty Brooke and Blakney.
