He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Lucas, Sr. and Beddie Ruth Butler Lucas; his son John Randall Glen Lucas; and his siblings, Shirley Ruth Carter, William C. Lucas, Jr. and Kathryn Jean McDill.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldean Barham Lucas; his children, Cheyanne Kelly Lucas, Gary Randall Lucas Jr. (Dawn), Pansye Gayle Lucas (Chad Vale) and Luther Wade Lucas (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Gary Randall Lucas, III, Candy Marie Lucas, Victoria Addyson Lucas, Christina Michelle Reedy (Jason) and Matthew Lucas; and his siblings, Karen Matherne, Joanne Williams and Lynn Plumb (Jimmy). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
