He was predeceased by: his father Harry Dowdle, Sr.; and his brother Lee Dowdle (Virginia). He is survived by: his wife Betty Pennington Dowdle; his children, Harriet Dowdle Berry (Michael Berry) of Columbus, MS, Terry Dowdle (Barbara) of Birmingham, AL, Mike Dowdle of Jacksonville, FL and Todd Dowdle of Memphis, TN; his grandchildren, Blayze Berry, Swayze Berry, Josh Dowdle, Maggie Dowdle, Amy Garner, Allegra Liddell, Skylar Dowdle and Buckley Dowdle; and his pets, Coby and Brody. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
