It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Ray Crosby of Columbus, Mississippi, who passed away on September 29, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Lane and Frank Crosby; his wives, Valera McCool Crosby and Faye Cox Crosby; his son Howard Ray Crosby, Jr.; his granddaughter Catherine Crosby Richards; and his siblings, Jo Willis, Willie Nance, Sue Barrier, Ruth Daugherty, Rose Alford, Lavelle, Alfred and Melvin Crosby.

He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Shirley (Kevin) of Meridian, MS and Elizabeth Richards (Guy) of Fayetteville, GA; his stepchildren, Eric Cox (Lori) of Arlington, TN, Neal Cox (Susan) of Holly Springs, MS and Vicki Atkinson (Reuben) of Piperton, TN; and his grandchildren, Cole Shirley (Katie Jo Riley) of Jack Richards, E. J, Tripp Atkinson (Mallory), Blake Cox (Christy), Jenna Phillips (Wade), Tyler Cox (Mallory), Christina Sievers, Amber Martin (Cody) and Jeremy Atkinson. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
