He was predeceased by: his parents, Zelbert Knight and Geraldine Shepherd Knight; his son Ricky Knight; and his granddaughter Sophie Ann Weathers. He is survived by: his wife Ann Lindley Knight; his children, Kay Shavnore, Terry Knight of Youngstown, FL, Toni Dubose (Mark) of Manning, S. C., Ivy Knight (Josette) of Elberta, AL, Tim Knight (Deb) of Brentwood, TN, Jamie Knight (Shelly) of Benton City, WA and Nicole Gutierrez (Mario) of Columbus, MS; his stepdaughter Aimee Weathers (Carlton) of Anniston, AL; and his sister Vivydean Jaynes of Columbus, MS.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
