He was predeceased by: his parents, James Everette Speed and Lou K Speed. He is survived by: his son James Harrison Speed; and his brothers, Michael Elwood Speed and Carl Everette Speed.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Curtis Chapel Cemetery.
Byron was fond of the work of Billy Graham and his son Franklin Graham; as such, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a charitable donation in Byron's honor to Samaritan's Purse, a humanitarian aid organization providing help to children and disadvantaged individuals across the world.
