It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Carlos Thompson of Columbus, Mississippi, who passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Andrew Thompson and Catherine Nichols Thompson; and his brother Charles Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Patti Jo Hamilton Thompson; his children, Shay Thompson (Blair) of Birmingham, AL and Stacy Cummings (Marl) of Mobile, AL; his grandchildren, Hayden Thompson, Reeves Thompson, Stella Thompson, Marshall Cummings and Miles Cummings; and his brothers, Wayne Thompson, Doyle Thompson, Travis Thompson and Tommy Thompson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
