He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Roderick and Mattie Watt Sparkman, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ann Sparkman of Columbus, MS; his children, Derek Sparkman (Ginger) of Cooksville, MS, Lauren Sparkman (Greg Miller) of Fairhope, AL and Katie Gilmore (Justin) of Gulf Shores, AL; his siblings, John Sparkman of Jackson, MS and Mary Gray Davis of Franklin, IN; his grandson Jack Miller; his stepdaughters, Leslie Peel (Hollis) of Columbus, MS and Betsy Lose (Eddie) of Birmingham, AL; and his stepgrandchildren, Lawson Peel, Hayden Peel and Anna Caulk. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
