He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Lou Nickoles Austin and Vannoy A. Austin, Jr.; and his wife Peggy Brandon Austin. He is survived by: his son Neal Austin (Susan); his grandchildren, Hunter Austin (Sydney) and Chase Austin (Katie); his great grandchildren, River Austin, Liam Austin and Slade Austin; his brother Larry Austin (Angie); and his siblings-in-law, Pete Brandon (Cathy), Danny Brandon (Theresa) and Donna Wade (Sam). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
