He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred L. Gossett and Oda Mae Brumfield Gossett; and his wife Lavada Gossett. He is survived by: his children, Cindy Mattox (Benny) of Prattville, AL, Melinda Benford (Bill) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Mark Gossett (Sharon) of Jasper, AL; his grandsons, Jason Mattox (Carrie) of Prattville, AL, Stephen Mattox (Brittany) of Brewton, AL and Derrick Traverzo (Ashlee) of Lutz, FL; his great grandchildren, Sage, Jaxson, Hampton, Carleigh, Camden and Ryan; and his sister Betty Cole of Grand Haven, MI..
