He is survived by: his sister Brenda Sims; his wife Mattie Faulkner Johnson; his children, Byron Russell Johnson (Melinda) and Donna Johnson Cunningham (Kyle); his grandsons, Cole Johnson (Abby), Noah Cunningham, Gabriel Cunningham and Weston Cunningham; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Henderson and Isabella Johnson.
