It is with sadness that the passing of Lena Cook of Columbus, Mississippi is shared. Lena, born on October 30, 1939, passed away on August 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Hester and Lena Morris Oliver; and her brother James Oliver. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Seaborn Cook of Columbus, MS; her children, Rusty Cook (Donna) of Columbus, MS and Amanda Cook Hall (John) of Columbus, MS; and her grandchildren, Joe Cook, Erica Jenkins, Nikki "Nicole" Harris, Micayla Hall, Tara Langdon and Lacy Westbrook. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Shaeffer's Chapel Cemetery (1007 Shaffers Chapel Rd, Columbus, MS 39701).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
