It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lille Mae Cole of Columbus, Mississippi, who passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Tuggle and Laura Mae Jackson Tuggle; her siblings, Charlie Tuggle, Jr. (Lillie), Mary Louise Hamilton, Henry Lee Tuggle, Joe Lee "Doc" Tuggle (Ollie Mae), Anthony Tuggle, Jackie Lee Tuggle (Stella), Johnny "Byrd" Tuggle (Carol) and Tawanda Tuggle; and her goddaughter Teresa Dismuke.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bobbie Wheelis (Charles) of St. Louis, Missouri, Andrew St (Sadie) and Lonnie Tuggle (Carol) of Columbus, MS.; her daughters, Janice Tuggle, Cindy Henry (Reginald), Iris Colebrook Adams, Telisa Clay Young, Stephanie Barry and Sandra Wax; her grandchildren, Reginald Henry of Tupelo, MS and Deja Richardson of Atlanta, GA; her great grandchildren, Addison Henry, Tylan Henry and Reign Henry; her grandchildren, Cameron Cavett of Memphis, TN and Ansalia Thomas of Columbus, MS.; and her godson Houston Dismuke. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carter's Funeral Services - Columbus (602 14th St N, Columbus, MS 39701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Beginning Full Gospel Baptist Church (2533 MS-69, Columbus, MS 39702). A burial was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at the Wicks Memorial Gardens (176 S Frontage Rd, Columbus, MS 39701).
