She was predeceased by: her father Louis E. Blaxton; her husband Horace Alston Stokes; her daughter Sherry Ann Stokes; and her siblings, Sonny Blaxton, Mary Knight and Mildred Montgomery.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Stokes (Ruthann) of Columbus, MS and Steve Stokes of Columbus, MS; her brother Harvey Blaxton of Columbus, MS; her grandchildren, Joshua Stokes and Amanda Stokes; and her great grandchildren, Shelby Kate Stokes, Lila Stokes and Blake Bell.
