She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Swedenburg and Mary Lee Swedenburg Hardy; and her brothers, Edward Swedenburg, Eugene Swedenburg and Jerry Swedenburg.

She is survived by: her husband Willie Lawson; her sons, Robert Brownlee (Vickie) and Randy Brownlee (Annette); her stepdaughter Shea Rittenhouse (Mark); and her siblings, Peggy Simons, Jimmy Swedenburg, Lois Townsend and Lorene Stitcher. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
