She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearly Malone and Mae Lou Bridges; her husbands, Homer Junior Strickland and Clarence Thurmond Conner; her sister Bonnie Hill; and her daughter Marlene Young.
She is survived by: her brother Charles Marshall Bridges; her children, Wanda Shelton (Larry), Sharron Beasley (John) of Columbus, Mississippi, Denny Lee Strickland, Sr. (Julia) of Lakeland, Florida, Warren Conner (Tammy) of Caledonia, Mississippi, Ray Conner (Mary Jane) of Sciplesmill, Mississippi, Irvin Conner (Brenda) of Union, Mississippi and Mark Conner of Bartahatchie, Mississippi; her daughter-in-law Regina Strickland of Columbus, Mississippi; her great great grandchild Mason Wyatt Perrigin; her caregivers, Lou, Andrea Williford, Amy Richardson and Shannon Hatton; and her brother Melvin Mordecai (Norma Springfield). She is also survived by nieces and nephews; nineteen grandchildren; a whole host of great-grandchildren.
Memorials in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or The Shriners' Club.
