She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Thomas and Margie Beatrice McDowell McDill; her husband Odell S. Carter; and her great grandchildren, Robert Brock Richardson and Elayna Grace Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Carter of West Point, MS, Mike Carter (Helen) of Columbus, MS, Barbara McNutt (Tom) of Apollo Beach, FL and Rena Hamrick (Mark) of Columbus, MS. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
