It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Dale Johnson of Columbus, Mississippi, who passed away on June 15, 2023, at the age of 32, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, E. R. “Yogi” Bruce and Nancy Johnson of Columbus, MS; his niece Janie Branch of Holly Springs, MS; and his father-in-law Sonny "Big Pop" Seymer of McShan, AL.. He is survived by: his parents, Louis Johnson and Stephanie Johnson (Mike); his wife Sunny; his children, Bryson, Sawyer and Mollie of Columbus, MS; his grandparents, Tommy Johnson of Columbus, MS and Shirley Bruce of Brookhaven, MS; his siblings, Elizabeth Selkey (Allen) of Canton, GA, Valerie Boykin (Gabe) of Tupelo, MS, Max Branch of Columbus, MS and Bruce Branch (Abby) of Greenwood, MS.; his mother-in-law JoJo Seymer; his siblings-in-law, Keeley Moore and Trace Moore (Lindsey); his cousin Chipper Seymer of McShan, AL.; Faye Seymer.
