He is survived by: his wife Ann Baker Swedenburg of Columbus; his children, Lindsey Swedenburg Pond (Stephen) of Cumming, Georgia and Michael Baker Swedenburg (Claire) of Birmingham, Alabama; his sister Denise Swedenburg Caldwell of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Shiloh Pond, Shepherd Pond, Sterling Pond, Liam Swedenburg and Wynn Swedenburg.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carolyn's Room of First Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (602 Main St, Columbus, MS 39701).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hop on a Cure (https://www.hoponacure.org) in support of ALS research and a cure or Columbus First Methodist Church.
