He was predeceased by: his mother Sarah Burns Adkins; his son Ricky Lewis Adkins; his siblings, Ronnie Adkins, Terry Adkins, Joseph Adkins and Charlotte Prater; and his uncle Roy Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Ellis Adkins; his stepson Zachery Glidewell; his sister Mary Price (Rick); his granddaughter Gabby Adkins; his aunts, Doris Daniel and Dorothy Burns; and his close friend Johnny Holliman, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
