Sarah Mott Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Sarah Mott (Columbus, Mississippi) is shared. Sarah, born on April 6, 1941, passed away on September 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Granville Heatherington Watson, Sr. and Lucy Doughty Watson; her son David A. Mott; and her brothers, Granville H. Watson Jr. and Samuel E. Watson.
She is survived by: her husband Cecil A. Mott; her grandchildren, Autumn Mott-VanBibber (Jason) of Evansville and Daniel Mott of Memphis; her daughter-in-law Kristine Mott of Humboldt; her sister Arletta Snyder of Beach City; and her friends, Billy, Linda and Kim.
A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church (2698 Ridge Rd, Columbus, MS 39705).
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made tothe Columbus Humane Society.
