He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Ollie. He is survived by: his wife Mary Blankenship Thompson of Columbus, MS; his children, Sidney Thompson, Jr. of Columbus, MS, Kenny Thompson of Columbus, MS, Glenn Thompson (Melanie) of Lebanon, TN, Dr. Teresa Thompson of Columbus, MS and Mary Helen Hawkins (Eddie); and his grandchild Mallory Cook of Columbus, MS. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
