She was predeceased by: her father Sigurdur Arni Gudmundsson; her son John Kristofer Smartt; and also Robert "Robbie" William Head. She is survived by: her husband Robert of Columbus, MS; her stepdaughters, Julie Combs (E. Wayne) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Joni Grady (Gary) of St. Mary's, GA and Rhonda Cline (Bobby) of Mandarin, FL; her daughter Susan Yaple (Robert) of Niceville, FL; her daughter-in-law Kathy Smartt of Melborne, FL; her grandchildren, Danielle Thomas (Jason) of Valparaiso, FL, Kristofer Yaple of Valparaiso, FL, John Smartt (Alisia) of Springfield, VA and Katie Smartt of Yorktown, VA; her great grandchildren, Archer, Amelia and Icelandic; and her brothers, Porir (Hjordis), Arsaell (Eria) and Siggi (Erla).
