He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Delk and Martha Adele Butler Atkins; his brother Billy Wayne Atkins; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Cox. He is survived by: his wife Kay Delk; his daughters, Kristin Melcher (Johnny) and Ashley Delk; his grandchildren, Austin Melcher (Shae), Sydney Linton (Kyle), Samuel Melcher, Zachary Melcher, Ruby Lowe and Link Lowe; his siblings, Bruce Delk (Beverly), Glenn Delk (Betty) and Beverly Cox; and his sister-in-law Maggie Atkins.
