It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susie Basinger (Columbus, Mississippi), who passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henley and Jennye Gullette Henley. She is survived by: her daughter Edith Romans (Troy); her brother George Henley (Margaret); her children, Bill Basinger (Carol), Romans Cindy Hartley (Steve) and Cliff Basinger (Stefanie); her grandchildren, William Thomas "W. T." Basinger (Erin), Jeremy "Scott" Basinger (Sarah), Charles "Lee" Basinger (Amanda), Kenneth Romans, Sara Holland (Jonathan), Jennifer Cooper, Kristen Scott (Brett), Jonah Basinger, Jake Basinger and Tallulah Basinger; and her great grandchildren, Taytum, Tenley, Andrew, Jordan, Ezra, Shiloh, Charlie, Travis, Elizabeth, Braxton, Kinsley and Cullen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that a donation be made to St. Jude, East End Baptist Church (Columbus), or the Lowndes County Humane Society.
