He is survived by: his wife Terri Lynn Oaks Whitfield; his children, Ryan Abie Whitfield (Melody) and Abbey DeeLynn Whitfield of Corinth; his grandchildren, Anna Grace Reed Burton (Bryan) of Louisville and Roman Abie Whitfield of Corinth; his great grandchild Carter Brooks Burton of Louisville, Miss.; his nephew Rick Whitfield (Cheryl) of Houston, Texas; his niece Darlene Kennedy of Cherokee, Ala.; his great-nephew Carson Whitfield of Houston, Texas; and his great-nieces, Katie Whitfield Norman (Eric) of Houston and Darby Kennedy of Nashville, Tenn..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oakland Baptist Church (1101 S Harper Rd, Corinth, MS 38834). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Oakland Baptist Church, First Baptist Church-Corinth, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
