He was predeceased by: his parents, Arie Vance and Sadie Dowdy Vance; his wife Patricia "Pat" Jennings Vance; his brother William "Bill" Vance; and his sister-in-law Jesse Vance.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Vance Kelly, Arie "Chip" Vance III and Amanda "Mandy" Vance; his children-in-law, Brian Kelly, Adam Burns and Susanna Haden Vance; his grandchildren, Connor Kelly, Emma Kelly Stetler (Mason), Sara Vance Khankari (Nikhil), Rachel Vance and Jackson Vance; his great grandchild Mohan Khankari; and his friend Margaret Simpson.
