He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joseph and Mary Ruth Tyson; and his in-laws, Lornia and Usona Strachan. He is survived by: his wife Jimmie Gail Tyson (Strachan); his son Stacy Tyson (Jill); his granddaughters, Hannah and Sara; his brother Jerry Tyson (Janey); and his siblings-in-law, Mike Strachan, Norris, Linda Davis, Jane Mills and Greta Willis.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gaines Chapel Global Methodist Church (1803 US-72, Corinth, MS 38834). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
