He was predeceased by: his wife Mavis Hicks; his granddaughter Jessica Hicks; his parents, Emanuel Hicks and Vera Hicks; his siblings, Bo Hicks of Manuel Hicks, L. D, Kenneth Hicks, Barbara Hubbard and Clara Fay Null; and his half-brother Jimmy Ray Smith.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel Hicks, Janice Roseberry, Connie Mayes and Patsy Hicks; and his siblings, David Hicks (Annie), George Hicks (Annie) and Alice Bray. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Magnolia Funeral Home - East (2024 US-72, Corinth, MS 38834). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Magnolia Funeral Home - East Starts (2024 US-72, Corinth, MS 38834).
