He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Farson Hammer and Anne Nowak Hammer; and his sisters, Dawn, Diane and Sharon.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jones; his sons, Mike (Debra) and Mark (Laurie); his grandchildren, Ashley Sanchez (Danny), Wesley Hammer (Cassidy), Hannah Hammer (Lauren), Daniel Hammer (Jesse), Paul Hammer (Vittoria), Zander White and Noelle Spell (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, Asa Billingsley, Leo, Lillie Sanchez, Kennedy, Riley Spell, Olivia and Macey Hammer.
