She was predeceased by: her husband Worley Helton; the father of her children Abe Blakney; her parents, Marvin Garrett and Mittie Lee Barnes; and her brothers, Malcolm Garrett and Rubel Barnes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda Dooley and Trista Smith (Kim); her grandchildren, Meghan McGee (Chase), Dakota Dooley (Grace), Mikayla Smith and Blakney Smith; her great grandchildren, Taryn McGee, Tynlee McGee, Tessa McGee and Elias Dooley; and her siblings, Richard Barnes, Nellie Spence and Shirley Mask (Buddy).
In Lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial donations in Carolyn's memory by made to her favorite charity, St. Jude.
