He was predeceased by: his father Dewitt Dexter; and his siblings, Garfield, Earl Dexter, Eleanor Johnson, Mary Dexter and Grace Brawner.
He is survived by: his sister Dorothy Lucas; and his nieces and nephews, Jimmy Brawner, Selena Doggett, Ken Lucas, Glenda Marsh, Gayle Carter and Carlton Johnson.
