He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Gant and Gertrude Rickman Gant; and his brother Jim Max Gant. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Allen Gant; his children, Jeremy Gant, Bridget Deanine Gant and Valerie Gunther (Tommy); his grandchildren, Maya Gunther and Victor Scott Gant; and his sisters, Peggy Wilbanks, Glenda Peters (Donnie) and Judy Steed (Clark).
