With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geneva Putt of Corinth, Mississippi, born in Counce, Tennessee, who passed away on February 21, 2021 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by : her parents, Edgar Shipman and Cleo Phillips Shipman; her husband John H. Putt; her son-in-law Rickey Hopper; and her siblings, Charles Shipman and Virginia Briggs.
She is survived by : her children, Ben Putt (Christy) of Corinth, MS, Becky Townsend (Joe) of Corinth, MS, Brenda Hopper of Ripley and Beverly Thrasher (Larry) of Corinth, MS; her grandchildren, Chris Melvin (Laura), Jonathan Hopper (Marisa), Monica Hopper, Sally Earl (Jonathan), Benjamin Putt, Jeremy Thrasher (Haley) and Jesse Thrasher (Ashley); her brother Leevirl Shipman of Corinth, MS; and her sister-in-law Edna Shipman of Corinth, MS. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Magnolia Funeral Home - South Chapel (741 Hwy 45 S, Corinth, MS 38834). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 25th 2021 at the Magnolia Funeral Home-South Chapel (741 Hwy 45 S, Corinth, MS 38834).
