He was predeceased by: his parents, A. G. Hurley and Josephine Surratt Hurley; his brother Jimmy Hurley; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy Hurley, Jimmie Gayle Hurley and Billy Ray Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Williams Hurley; his children, Mark Hurley (Jan), Angi Greenway (Donnie), Katie Simmons (Jimbo) and Allison Cornelius (Chad); his grandchildren, Kyle McNutt, Hunter Simmons, Dalton Havis Hurley, Megan McBrayer (Trent), John Williams Cornelius, Addie Lee Cornelius and Riley Jane Cornelius; and his brother Billy Hurley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Havis' memory to the Havis Hurley.
