He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Gant and Helen Jones Gant; his siblings, David Gant, Lawrence Gant and Betty Gant Harp; his nephews, Jerry Lee Downs and David "Pancho" Daniel Gant; his in-laws, Mike and Mittie Shea; and his siblings-in-law, Bobby Harp, William Shea, Danny Shea, Travis Shea, Brenda Louise Shea, Brenda Gail Shea and Janie Richardson.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda "Darby"; his children, Stacy Houston Mathis (Bryan), Jeff Houston (Mindy) and Mike Seago (Whitney); his grandchildren, Bo "Johnny Bravo" Blakney (Emily), Lacy "Lulu" Blakney (Kayla), Brayden "Sassy Boy" Houston of Reagan, Houston, Alexandria "Ali Ruth" Houston, Samuel "Hayboy" Houston and Ky Seago; his sister Rheedia Gant Downs (Gerald); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Bennett, Ann Shea, Judy Long (Lowell), Melissa Jones (Dale) and Mikey Shea (Sharon). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
