She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Cleveland Sampson and Luola Lang Sampson; her husband Delphus Gurley; and her siblings, Joy Sampson Miller, Helen Sampson Bolden, J. C. Sampson, Curtis Sampson and Monroe Sampson.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Gurley (Keith Lass); her granddaughters, Jennifer Hamsing (Michael) and Melissa Anderson; her great grandchildren, Corianne Downs (Dustin), John Hamsing, Jody Hamsing and Liberty Anderson; her great great grandchildren, Logan Downs, Luke Downs and Liliana Downs; and her close friends, Tammy Locke, Carolyn James and Grace.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Union Baptist Church or the Alcorn County Animal Shelter in honor of her generous and caring spirit.
