He was predeceased by: his parents, James Washington and Lacie Cross Howell; his son Jimbo Howell; and his stepfather Bill Robertson. He is survived by: his wife Martha Jo Howell; his children, Frank Howell, Martha Howell and Meridith Howell Archer (Todd); his grandchildren, Hank Howell (Ashley), Holly Howell Byrd (Caleb), Shiloh Rutherford (Jesse), Jayme Howell, Bo Howell, Howell Archer (Laci Archer), Fleming Archer and Martha Morris Archer; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Howell, Hadley Howell, Greyson Howell, Knox Howell, Thomas Byrd, Crawford Byrd, Finley Rutherford and Roe Rutherford.
