She is survived by: her children, Kevin Carter (LeeAnna), Angelia Huggins, Sandra Cummings (Darren) and Kami Childers (Jesse); her grandchildren, Michael Hicks (Olivia), Keith Powers (Zadie), Hayley Morris (Braxton), Cole Childers (Maddie), Adam Carter (Mariana), Ashley Carter, Ethan Null and Chasity Strayhorn; and her sister Mary Jane Ford. She is also survived by 26 great grandchildren.
