He is survived by: his wife Jo Lynn Burns; his children, Farris Burns (Canada), Joseph Burns, Rachel Martin (Davin), Mary Grace Green (Austin) and Andrew Burns; his grandchildren, Ransom Burns, Kairos Martin, Asher Martin, William Hayes Green, Olivia Lynn Green and Virginia Green; his brother Bobby Burns (Christy); his sister-in-law Leigh Ann Foster (Robert); his nephew John Michael Foster; and his niece Sarah Kate Burns.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Georgetown Baptist Church.
