With sadness, we share the passing of Shirley M. Smith of Corinth, Mississippi. Shirley, born on May 10, 1943, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Cummings and Annie Cummings; her husband Larry Smith; the father of her child David Austin; and her siblings, Eula Mae Stutts, Mary Bell Prather, Linda Austin, Jerry Cummings and Terry Cummings.
She is survived by: her daughter Annette Austin Smith; her grandchildren, April Geer (Tony), Joshua Steen and Jody Smith; her great grandchildren, Brett Calvery, Lucy Geer, Lacy Geer, Emery Smith and Hazlee Smith; and her siblings, Delores Bobo, Martha Wooten, Joyce Brock (James), Roy Cummings (Diane) and Benny Cummings. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Magnolia Funeral Home - East (2024 US-72, Corinth, MS 38834). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Magnolia Funeral Home - East Starts (2024 US-72, Corinth, MS 38834).
